5 Top Self-care Tips

 

Why 5? That’s how many fingers we have. It’s just overwhelming to even think of more than 5.

Let’s get down to essentials:

  1. Breath

    We have to breathe to live. Most of us cannot last even a few minutes without it. Just by slowing it down and focusing on exhaling fully you can tap into its tremendous relaxing and healing power.

  2. Food

    We are what we eat (and drink). Eating less but higher quality and vibration foods will allow more time for the body to detox, rejuvenate, and have more energy. Start your day by drinking a glass or 2 of water, eat whole and mostly organic foods, and chew your food thoroughly.

  3. Movement

    You don’t have to do a vigorous workout every day, what’s important is to move. Allow your muscles and connective tissues to shorten and lengthen, and you’ll feel much better.

  4. Mindlessness

    Finding space and time away from the hustle and bustle of modern day world, news, ads, work, problem-solving… It’s life-changing to have what many call mindfulness practice, when you find inner peace through breath, art, reading or journaling and put things in perspective.

  5. Love over fear

    In Classical Chinese Medicine it is common knowledge that all diseases lead to the heart, and all emotions other than joy are rooted in fear. Only love is greater than fear. Living in love protects your heart and mind, while fear depletes your energy and feeds ego. When it’s extra hard to switch to love mode, add extra self-care modalities and show love to your body.
